About the position

Junior Financial Accountant to assist and support various functions within our financial team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing essential assistance in financial tasks, data entry, preparing reports, and ensuring smooth daily operations within the department. If you have a keen interest in finance, a strong attention to detail, and a passion for helping a team succeed.

Financial Accounting:

Prepare various monthly journals and reconciliations,

Prepare group VAT returns for review,

Assist with BEE Audits and reports,

Assist with Financial Audits,

Fixed Assets Register, Maintain on BC, Additions, Scrapping and Physical verifications

Assist FM with any financial function in Finance Department.

Debtors Administration:

Facilitate Account applications and opening of accounts,

Distribution of Statements and Invoices,

Processing debtor payments,

Reconciling accounts, resolve queries,

Active debtors collection,

Monthly debtors reporting and raise alert of potential problems

Minimum Requirements:

Matric with mathematics.

Completed Articles

Bachelor of Commerce Degree

Excel skills.

3 – 5 Years experience in a Financial Assistant or similar role.

Additional Skills required:

Experience in an IT company will be advantageous.

Excellent problem solving and communication skills.

Experience in Microsoft Business Central or other financial systems will be an added advantage.
